| Gorilla under Glass
I was working at an ad
agency in Marina Del Rey in 1991. I had to drive through South
Central Los Angeles during my commute. You could feel the pressure
building daily during the Rodney King trials. It was like an 800-pound
gorilla on the loose. I had a premonition that things had deeply
divided the black community. 1992 proved me right.
